GAMEPLAY OVERVIEW

game mode

In Nighttime Runners premiere game mode 40 Runners will work together or separately to claim their individual packages and make it back safely. Seekers will start in the middle of this map and have to work together to catch as many of the Runners as possible.

item economy

There will be a variety of items available for the player to acquire. Gear that passively affect player attributes, consumables for limited time affects, and PVP items used to outwit other players.

Choosing when to use your gear during the match will be critical, as most items are one use only, and cost an amount of In Game Currency.

seeker OBJECTIVE

Seekers are looking to use their elite cooperation and strategy skills to catch as many runners as possible.

The more catches they perform, the more Acclaim and In Game Currency they obtain. With bonuses for reaching certain thresholds. More IGC can be obtained by Seekers which makes it a great way to obtain more equipment to take into matches.

runner OBJECTIVE

Runners are looking to claim their unique package. The package contains a randomized prize the player gets to add to their collection if they win the match.

Runners will gain Acclaim and In Game Currency for playing well. Acclaim unlocks sponsors that grant access to cosmetics, while IGC can be used for better equipment and gear.

map

NRs first map will be large in scale and focused on replayability. 6 major Points of Interest with varying themes will be located around the map, allowing each match to be unique with a random spawn point for the runners team each match, and a hidden package collection point.

long term engagement

As players learn the games systems and become more skilled in the game, they will look to take their abilities to the next level.

Players will be able to pledge to competitive teams once a certain Acclaim level is met. After pledging, they’ll be able to join ranked matches where team strategy and cooperation will be at it’s finest.
